The Olympic Games are now over. Over the past few weeks, 28 disciplines were put through their paces in 302 contests featuring a total of about 11,100 athletes. But the challenge of discovering and encouraging talents remains: Indeed, this is the subject of our first article on “Today’s Top 10 Talent-Management Challenges”. This issue of our newsletter remains completely international: Our new distributor in Romania introduces himself, we report on the international meeting with our distributors, and we close the newsletter with the third part of our China series – China remains a topic.

The first encounter
When it comes to China, superlatives come tumbling out: With 1.3 billion inhabitants, it is the most populous country on Earth, the third largest trading nation in the world (2007), the fourth largest economy and with over 1,530 billion USD it has the highest currency reserves in the world, as well. It is no wonder then that China is the most attractive target country for direct investments alongside the USA. One more reason to take a closer look at this country in more detail (in a series).
