Overextended meetings and frequent apparent lack of understanding are modernday challenges. The listening style employed is decisive to understanding what is actually being said. Thus, awareness of one’s own personal listening style and the ability to adapt it to individual situations are important to successful listening. Furthermore, communication is often characterized by the listener’s general expectations, especially in workplace relationships. In such a network, successful communication on a long-term basis is difficult for those who do not meet listener expectations. The Conversational Dynamics Profile was developed to address this problem.

Learning Targets

Participants will become acquainted with the analysis of the Conversational Dynamics Profile and its application during the seminar.

Participants will learn about the interpretation stages of the Conversational Dynamics Profile and how to apply them.

Methods

Exercises and group work proven effective in practice, self-reflection and partner exercises. Facilitation and action planning. The theory and background of the Model will be introduced and explained in presentations.
